About Maya!

Maya is a 29-year-old creative director, event curator, and entrepreneur based in the Twin Cities. She is also pursuing her studies in photography and videography at Minneapolis College, refining her craft and expanding her creative vision.

In 2016, Maya founded Culture Piece Magazine, an online publication that established her as a storyteller and tastemaker. Her influence grew further when she was invited to serve as Guest Editor for Marie Claire Magazine in October 2017, a milestone that showcased her eye for culture, style, and innovation.

Today, Maya is recognized for her bold studio portraiture and elevated visual experiences. In addition to photography, she offers professional videography services, including short-form content and behind-the-scenes storytelling that bring brands and personal moments to life with elegance and artistry.
